My practice is rooted in the porous boundaries between species, knowledge systems, timescales, and between fact and fiction. With curiosity and devotion, my work is grounded in the sacred mundane and the often overlooked: an abundance of street plums, the scent of the soil after a sudden summer rain, sawfly galls on a tender willow leaf. In my writing, grief is embodied in the senescence of moss creatures, spiders are fortune-telling creators of the universe, and blossoms are recalcitrance made into matter. Yearning and desire are multispecies emotions - as is grief, as is memory, as is evolution.
